The appears to be a round diamond in a diamond halo with two triangular-shared side stones (called “trillion cut” stones) on either side of the center stone, Glamour reported in 2016.

They are set in a split-shank design, with three bands that are all part of a single ring.

Joanna Wyganowska, a gemologist and engagement ring expert at Queensmith, shared her tips on what to look out for.

She explained that friends and family urging you to get your nails done is a telling sign.

“This is one of the biggest signs that your partner is going to propose and [wants] you to feel and look your best for those all-important engagement ring pics,” she said.

“If you suspect this might be the case, ensure you agree to get them done. There would be nothing worse than having chipped nail polish when your partner slips the engagement ring on!”

Other signs include a partner’s increased proactiveness, like planning a trip or making more effort to speak to your family.

“If your partner typically isn’t involved in holiday planning but suddenly becomes very hands-on, it could signal they’re planning a special proposal abroad,” she explained.

“Secondly, If you’ve been together a while and you have a special day coming up (such as an anniversary or your birthday), this could be another sign that they are planning on proposing to you.”

Kerry Washington Hid Engagement Ring in ‘My Undergarments’

*Kerry Washington has revealed why she used to hide her engagement ring in her undergarments.

“I loved my ring so much, so I would sleep in it at night, and then in the morning, I would pin it to my undergarments so that nobody knew we were engaged,” she said during a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine with James Corden, kerry–washington-reveals-reason-why-174439802.html”Marie Claire reports. 

The “Scandal” star explained that she wanted to keep her engagement and wedding to NFLer Nnamdi Asomugha private, so she “used to ping my engagement ring to my undergarments,” she shared. 

“He had a groundbreaking, record-breaking contract that he had just walked through, and he had been in three or four Pro Bowls, you know,” she explained. “When I met him, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and I was on this hit show.”

Washington wed Asomugha in 2013, and she told Corden that “there was a lot of public energy around our careers,” so she decided to hide her engagement ring.

“We kept our relationship very private when we were dating, I think mostly because we just wanted to protect ourselves and each other,” she added.

Amanda Kloots repurposes engagement ring from late husband Nick Cordero

Amanda Kloots is paying tribute to her late husband Nick Cordero in a special way.

The fitness trainer took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that she’s altered her ring, and is allowing her heart to change while on an ongoing healing journey.

In a post made to her Instagram, Amanda Kloots reveals the alterations made to the engagement ring from her late husband.

“I have not worn my wedding ring now for a couple of years and it was honestly making me so sad to see it in my jewelry box just collecting dust and not being worn,” Kloots said in a video. “But also I didn’t know what to do with it and it didn’t feel right to wear, especially because it didn’t fit any of my other fingers.”

She went on to share that she contacted the designers of her engagement ring to ask if there any way to repurpose her heart-shaped diamond to create a look that’s more “casual” and could be worn every day while still paying homage to her original.

Kloots admitted that she went back and forth and almost backed out of changing her beloved gem, but essentially ended up coming up with a design.

“Finding a new design, a more casual every day design, that fit my life now was tough,” Kloots captioned the video. “I was super picky and very nervous to make this big change.”

She continued, “When I received my new ring yesterday I cried. It felt like it signified a new chapter for me, another step forward. I love that I decided to make this change when I was ready and I love that the heart

Roughly six months after confirming the breakup, the Summer House cast member shared a surprising update on her engagement ring — well, her former engagement ring. The East Coast native showed off the 4.02-carat diamond ring in August of 2022, shortly after Carl popped the question in the Hamptons. Lindsay gushed over the piece in an exclusive interview with People magazine, saying it was designed by New York-based jeweler Nicole Rose.

I say if he can’t revive the engagement with an old ring

DEAR MISS MANNERS: A friend of mine was engaged for months. Then she and her fiance had a misunderstanding and he asked for the ring back. She returned it.

He has since found the error of his ways and gave her the ring again.

I say she needs a new ring, or at least an altered one — have that one remounted or somehow changed. After all, he wouldn’t use a ring he had first given to someone else. I say when he asked for it back, it terminated the contract of marriage, and therefore this is a new engagement and needs a new ring.

Who is right?

GENTLE READER: Are you planning to be part of this marriage? Or are you only the couple’s jeweler?

Perhaps the couple sees that ring as symbolizing the welcome return of the harmony of their early engagement. Or as a rock that remains solid despite any troubles.

Charles Esten reminisced about how he won money and prizes on a game show over 30 years ago including his wife’s engagement ring.

“I’d been in L.A. for 3 months and I was already out of money when I found an ad looking for contestants for Sale of the Century,” Esten wrote on X on Monday February 19.

“Long story short: I got on, and 5 days later walked away with $34K in cash and prizes that included the engagement ring that my wife wears on her finger today,” he wrote. “None of that happens without this lucky speed round.”

With the ring secured, Esten married his college sweetheart, Patty Hanson, in 1991. They have three children: daughter Taylor, 28, son Chase, 25, and daughter Addie, 24.

In addition to acting, Esten is also a singer, and he released his debut solo album, Love Ain’t Pretty, last month. He sang in college, and it was music that brought him together with Hanson, now 58.
