Accused Peeping Tom Arrested At SW OKC Grocery Store

An accused peeping Tom was caught in the act on Tuesday at a southwest Oklahoma City grocery store.

Police said 63-year-old Roy Salinas was accused of peering over a bathroom stall at a 15-year-old.

Police said the victim and his mother stayed at the grocery store, along with Salinas, to report what allegedly happened in the bathroom.

Officers were called to the grocery store near southwest 44th and south Western Avenue just after 9:30 a.m. A Spanish speaking officer spoke to Salinas while the victim recalled to another officer the interaction in the bathroom.

According to the report, the teenager was using the urinal next to a stall when he felt someone breathing close to him. The victim said he glanced up and saw Salinas looking over the stall at his private parts.

The situation had made other customers uneasy to let their children out their sight.

“I have you know grandkids and I have my two sons,” said Gloria Trevino, customer. “So, I’m worried and it’s sad because I’m Hispanic and the guy he was Hispanic, right? So, I’m sad.”

Salinas was booked into the Oklahoma Detention Center on one peeping Tom misdemeanor. Salinas is still in custody.

Police said this was Salina’s first arrest in Oklahoma City and he did not appear to have a criminal record in the state.
