See Tamra Judge’s Engagement Ring That Eddie Got from Costco

Although we didn’t always know them as a pair on The Real Housewives of Orange County (we actually met Tamra when she was married to Simon Barney), it feels like they’ve been together forever.

After two years of dating, Eddie proposed to Tamra with a stunning ring he picked up from a surprising store.

Where did Tamra Judge’s engagement ring from Eddie Judge come from?

Tamra told The Daily Dish in 2012 that the huge cushion-cut diamond in a halo setting over a double pavé band came from the unlikeliest of retailers: Costco.

“Eddie and I are big Costco fans and go together once a week,” she said in the March 2012 interview. “Everyone knows that the jewelry is right when you walk in. For the past year, I would look and try on the rings, and he would always drag me away telling me if I didn’t stop he would actually buy me a Costco ring one day.”

“I told him I wouldn’t have it any other way. Guess what? He did!” she added. “We often joke that we will get married at Costco. I love my ring and it is the exact ring I had been looking at for the past year.”

That said, Tamra’s wedding band — actually two pavé eternity wedding bands that surround her engagement ring — were custom designed by Brian Hassine of Nuggets & Carats in Orange County at her request.

Valued at over $35,000 and called “The Condo,” the white- and rose-gold metal ring has another five carats worth of stones, which adds up to 368 diamonds. Hassine created the ring in eight separate parts; it features the removable center engagement ring band and was finished with an engraving of the words “T and E.”

There’s a new fashion statement on the rise thanks to Emily Ratajkowski, sparking a trend for the newly single. After the model’s divorce from ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard was finalized, she posted about refurbishing her engagement ring into two “divorce rings” on Instagram to celebrate a new state of independence. And the idea is getting so popular, jewelers are starting to add divorce rings as it’s own product category in their stores.

We spoke with a jewelry expert about this trend to learn what it’s really about, how to get the style best suited for you, and all the best ways to show it off.

What Are Divorce Rings?

“Traditionally, engagement rings and wedding rings symbolize the commitment and union between partners, says Rachel Akmakjian, Director of Jeweler Relations at BriteCo and Graduate Gemologist. “‘Divorce rings’ are seen as a way to mark the end of a marriage and celebrate newfound independence.”

Akmakjian adds that “engagement and wedding rings can often have lower resale value when associated with a divorce or breakup, which is oftentimes the reason for trying to sell a former ring in the first place.” However, this new trend has “changed the narrative” by repurposing the jewelry into something new with a different and positive meaning.

Tips for Picking a Divorce Ring

Divorce rings can vary in design and meaning, and will ultimately depend on the individual wearing them. “People tend to rework the stone(s) in their former ring into a new modern fashion ring,” Akmakjian says. “Women may choose to wear this on their ring finger or switch it to another finger or hand.”

AN engagement ring professional has shared the telltale signs that your partner is about to propose.

They explained that a few flags help signal whether or not it’s time to go wedding dress shopping.

Joanna Wyganowska, a gemologist and engagement ring expert at Queensmith, shared her tips on what to look out for.

She explained that friends and family urging you to get your nails done is a telling sign.

“This is one of the biggest signs that your partner is going to propose and [wants] you to feel and look your best for those all-important engagement ring pics,” she said.

“If you suspect this might be the case, ensure you agree to get them done. There would be nothing worse than having chipped nail polish when your partner slips the engagement ring on!”

Other signs include a partner’s increased proactiveness, like planning a trip or making more effort to speak to your family.

“If your partner typically isn’t involved in holiday planning but suddenly becomes very hands-on, it could signal they’re planning a special proposal abroad,” she explained.

“Secondly, If you’ve been together a while and you have a special day coming up (such as an anniversary or your birthday), this could be another sign that they are planning on proposing to you.”

“I loved my ring so much, so I would sleep in it at night, and then in the morning, I would pin it to my undergarments so that nobody knew we were engaged,” she said during a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine with James Corden, kerry–washington-reveals-reason-why-174439802.html”Marie Claire reports.

The “Scandal” star explained that she wanted to keep her engagement and wedding to NFLer Nnamdi Asomugha private, so she “used to ping my engagement ring to my undergarments,” she shared.

“He had a groundbreaking, record-breaking contract that he had just walked through, and he had been in three or four Pro Bowls, you know,” she explained. “When I met him, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and I was on this hit show.”

Washington wed Asomugha in 2013, and she told Corden that “there was a lot of public energy around our careers,” so she decided to hide her engagement ring.

Paris Hilton is an icon with plenty of iconic outfits, pairs of shoes, and pieces of jewelry over the years. But nothing else comes close to her engagement ring from now-husband Carter Reum.

When Paris and Carter first got engaged in February 2021, fans were aching to know everything there was to know about her sparkler. Who made it? How many carats was it?

How big is Paris Hilton’s engagement ring?

Paris’ engagement ring is a total of 20 carats, according to a 2021 interview in The Knot with its designer Jean Dousset — who is the great-great-grandson of famed jeweler Louis Cartier.

It features three main stones: an emerald-cut diamond in the center with a baguette diamond on either side. There are many other trapezoid diamonds accenting it.

“I’m so obsessed with it … it has like 15 diamonds going around and then inside it has a ‘P’ with a sapphire,” shared Paris during an On Air with Ryan Seacrest appearance in February 2021.

Dousset said he designed the ring in concert with Carter, based on classical and Art Nouveau styles. It was designed to evoke “the structure of the Grand Palais [des Champs-Élysées] in Paris,” both because of Jean’s heritage and the wearer’s name.

In a video she posted of the design process in 2021, it was revealed that the ring itself is also named “Paris.”

How much did Paris Hilton’s engagement ring cost?

The one-of-a-kind ring designed by Paris’ now-husband Carter and Cartier’s great-great-grandson was estimated to cost around $2 million dollars, according to The Knot.
