Zooey Deschanel’s Engagement Manicure Is as Playful as Her Ring

When someone gets engaged, most folks want to see the ring first. Though we do enjoy admiring jewelry, we’re usually even more excited to look at the engagement manicure. And right now, our eyes are locked on Zooey Deschanel‘s pretty-in-pink engagement manicure that’s so easy to re-create.

On August 14, Deschanel shared the exciting news of her engagement with an Instagram post featuring her and fiancé Jonathan Scott from the Property Brothers franchise, smiling while showing off her engagement ring and monochromatic manicure. A baby-pink polish was painted on her thumb, middle, and ring nails, while her index and pinkies were more of a Barbie-pink. We love that this manicure is colorful and has multiple tones because it’s more exciting than your standard, everyday manicure. Plus, it’s easy to re-create and doesn’t require extra tools like some other nail-art designs.

Deschanel hasn’t revealed the exact shades (not surprising, given that she’s likely preoccupied with more important things, like her nuptials), but we have a few recommendations for a similar effect.
