Roz Purcell announces engagement to long-term partner as she reveals stunning ring after proposal at iconic location

FORMER Miss Universe and RTE 2FM radio presenter Roz Purcell has announced her engagement to long-term partner Zach Desmond.

The 32-year-old shared the exciting news with her 556k followers on Instagram today.

Posting a series of sunset snaps at the Cliffs of Moher, Roz said: “We’re engaged.

“I would like to remind everyone I broke my ring finger this year and that’s why it’s deformed these rings may need to be cut off cause they squeezed on!”

The pair, who have managed to keep their relationship out of the public eye, looked ecstatic as they posed for some loved-up snaps at the iconic location.

Tipperary woman Roz has been dating Zach, who is the son of MCD Productions managing director Denis Desmond and works as a music promoter, since 2016 and often mentions him when speaking with her thousands of followers online.

Friends of the author and founder of The Hike Life rushed to the comment section to congratulate the happy couple.

Jedward said: “The most scenic setting for your engagement and it’s so you! Delighted for you both congratulations Roz and Zach.”

Saturdays singer Una Healy said: “Huge congratulations to you both.”

Ms Purcell’s 2FM co-host Emma Power said: “The best best best news. So happy for you both.”

RTE 2FM presenter Carl Mullan also shared his joy at the news, saying: “Ahhhhh unreal news Roz!!!! Massive congrats to you both.”

While TV presenter Laura Whitemore said: “Congrats x.”

The news comes after the model took to social media to share an insight into her week last month.

She explained that the week had a few mishaps that included breaking her finger. 

She also said that during the week she burst a tyre and broke the boot of her car to top things off.

Posting to Instagram Roz shared snaps she had taken during her week.

In the first snap she looked delighted holding a cookie and a cup of coffee as she posed in a bright pink and red jumper with a matching red beanie

She then shared photos on a hike of herself and the view as well as a snaps from a snowy mountain top. 

The Tipperary native also included pictures of some of the meals she had had including a cocktail and an Indian main course. 

The 32-year-old then shared a hilarious snap of a dog wearing a jumper. 

The final photo was of Roz’s hand, her fingers were taped together and one looked so bruised that it was purple.
