And the Vogue icon was in excellent company, as Lizzo is fearless when it comes to embracing the cutting edge of fashion.
‘I am a bad b**ch that takes risks and wears whatever she wants,’ Lizzo told The Hollywood Reporter in 2019.
‘Turning jokes into a red carpet look is what we do best. You should essentially be completely in love with who you are with no makeup, no extra hair, no styling, no corsetry.’

‘It’s everything!’ Lizzo declared. ‘You got style, you got the juice! I really love my team, my creative team: hair, makeup, styling.
‘We get to just really play around. We love exploring with color, shapes, motifs, big ideas and jokes.’
The About Damn Time singer went on to say that being emotionally open and letting her personality shine is the best fashion accessory.
‘…I like to wear my heart on my sleeve. My personality, you can see it. I don’t have to say nothing. I walk into a room and you know what’s up.’
The Yitty shapewear founder also spoke about her favorite pieces of clothing that help her to be ‘a bad b**ch.’
‘I really love a good panty. I love panties. If I’m wearing panties – because I don’t always wear panties, but if I chose – the panty really sets off what I’m doing for the rest of the day.’
Lizzo favors monochromatic looks and described how she and her team consistently try to make maximum impact with the ‘BOOM’ effect of one solid color.
‘We just discovered that [monochromatic] looks good on me. We just love to make a statement and what’s bigger than just – BOOM.’
Lizzo recently donned a jaw-dropping bubblegum pink dress when she performed at the BRIT Awards earlier this month.
The look certainly stuck to her monochromatic comfort zone as it enshrined her chest and head in a massive plush embellishment that was the same shade of pink as her satin skirt.
Lizzo also sported pink platform boots and a sleek bob that perfectly showcased her glowing face as she brought down the house with her performance.
Appearing on the British podcast Heart Breakfast, the Good as Hell songstress described the ceremony as ‘just a bar for artists’.

She said: ‘By the way you don’t have to sneak alcohol to the freaking BRITs. Because the BRITs is a bar. It’s an awards show that’s covered up, it’s just a bar for artists!
‘The guys are like, “It’s an awards show.” Nah, it’s just a pub. We’re lit, it’s just a party – like I sat at the table and I didn’t even know where to begin.
‘There was a whole bottle of tequila1942 in front of my chair alone. This wasn’t even part of the table, so I was like oh, it was a cornucopia of liquors and ambrosias.
‘You don’t need to sneak liquor into the BRITs. Thank God for you guys!’ she declared.
